Welcome to SKZ Lore!

If you have ever paused a Stray Kids music video to zoom into a blurry frame and said "WAIT...WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!?" then you are in the right place! SKZ lore can feel like stepping into a miroh of a megaverse with timelines, multiple universes, symbolism, and recurring motifs. Hopefully we can figure this out together!

There is very little confirmed lore from Stray Kids themselves, so most of this will be based on pure observation and what we as STAY think of it all. In the megaverse of SKZ, nothing is accidental and every detail matters. They don't just drop music videos, they drop evidence. Stray Kids said "I am YOU" and now we're all in this together.

A Little About Me and the Blog

My name is Rocky, late 30's, and I've been a STAY since just after the 5-STAR album dropped. I listened to SKZ before that, but was never a part of the k-pop fandom as a whole. One day, YouTube decided to suggest the God's Menu music video, and well, down the rabbit hole I went.

A couple years ago, this started out as some posts on Threads but after a few days of posting, I realized I needed an easier way to share all my thoughts. I wrote a few blog posts, but some new information broke my main theory. I took a break to reassess my "data," but then that turned into a hiatus - oops.

Recently, I started streaming again on Twitch (18+ for language and themes) and discussing SKZ lore from the beginning with other stays in the chat. I anticipate posting blog posts to talk through what I found and mention anything chat and I find significant. A little forewarning though, I am chronically ill, so sometimes my ability to engage is limited. That is to say, as much as I WANT to post every week, it might be spread out a little so I ask for your patience!

I know people have very strong opinions about the lore. This is a blog of observations and opinions. This is how I interpret the lore. We will probably NEVER know what's correct, so I will never say I am the expert. I have seen a lot of content, read a lot of theories, and know a ton of information, but it's ALL conjecture. If you think differently than me, GREAT - tell me in the comments or on stream! No prior lore degree required!

How It Works

If you've been waiting for me to post, I apologize for the delay. I promise it's not from a lack if material! I have a lot written out, but struggled to find the right format. At first I thought I'd simply talk through each music video and pull out themes to further discuss, however I found that I needed to reference more than one song, video, etc. So with the help of a friend, I came up with a plan!

I will write a post for each song we go through on stream. I'll list observations and point things out I think are important to note. Each song (that is applicable) will have an observations post. Once all observation posts of an album are done, I'll start writing out storylines, themes, and tin-foil hat theory posts. Everything is so connected and I want to be able to jump around as needed. Setting the limit to an album will ideally keep the vast amount of lore (and the lack of confirmation from SKZ themselves) more manageable. This provides me the opportunity to focus on themes without confusing people, and let's be honest, myself too.
